Pets on bed

My pets don't know the difference between my girlfriend and a bunch of pillows under the sheets.

I have discovered some people don't let their pets in bed because it's unsanitary. Some don't even let them in the bedroom!

be it resolved: Pets in bed. Yes? No?

What do you do when "the mood" kicks in? Leave them there? Kick them out? As you can see, my Shih tzu is a c**kblocker.

UPDATE

Or just post "pets in bed" photos. Whee!

Unsanitary or not both of our Great Danes sleep in bed with us every night. Phoebe sleeps under the blanket with me until she gets too hot at which point she wriggles out and puts her head on my pillow, Apollo sleeps at my feet. Why I get all 245 pounds of dog on my side and my husband gets an entire half of the bed to himself I'm not sure.

We typically have to kick them out to get frisky, they're way too curious.

Wow! all those bodies must generate a lot of heat

Certainly does, but that's fine by me! They keep me toasty warm.

I don't have any pictures of Apollo and Phoebe but here's Apollo and our last Dane, Athena (the white one):

I know! And I'm 5'9" so it's not like I'm tiny myself. Athena was about my husband's height when she was on her hind legs and he's 6'3". I swear they don't NEED to take up that much room in the bed though.

We have those sheets. I can't imagine sharing the bed with 2 great danes and another person.

I wish there was a way to get a picture of all four of us in bed at once, even I'd like to see it! But there's not usually a third person in our room while we're in bed, lol. And especially not one with a camera!

A camera with a timer might do it.

Do the dogs stretch their legs out like that when both people are in the bed?

Good point!

They sure do. Apollo isn't too bad since he sleeps on the outside/bottom of the bed. But Phoebe sleeps in the middle, so she pushes one of us with her back and the other with her paws.
