I take it you have cats, and the kind that show their displeasure with vomit.

I don't know that I have a choice. If I try to kick them off they just wait until I'm asleep. At least if I welcome them they stay at the bottom of the bed, rather than up by my face (which if they are there they might block my cpap vents and that's a scary thought!)

Yeah I kick my dogs off and they end up on the bed after I fall asleep :-P (not all three, just one usually...sometimes two)

Except for allergies and big dogs I'm not sure why someone wouldn't want their animals on the bed. I love sleeping with my kitties.

For cats, yes, for dogs, I prefer crating at night.

Yes for cats, no for dogs. We crate our dog at night.

No because they tend to drape over my legs and that wakes me up in a panic. My cats have all learned early that sleeping in bed leads to being kicked out, literally.

In my house, yes. Two people, two Danes, one bed. It's like a Tetris game every night. I just like having them there and I'm pretty sure they like sleeping with "their pack" too.

Yes, because my dog is the best spooner in the world.

No. I love my animals to death, but they hog up too much of my precious bed space. Seriously, I can barely get enough room with the hubs in the bed. When it was two cats and a dog, it was absolutely stupid - now two dogs and one cat? Nuh-uh.

No. I'm allergic to cats and they don't come in the bedroom for that reason, and trying to share a bed with 3 large, bed hogging dogs is just not okay.

Also, I don't really like dog hair in bed.

Yes. My dog sleeps under the covers with me, she loves to burrow. The cats are good foot warmers.

My four cats are beloved family members, so for me, this is the same question as "people on the bed: yes or no?"

Yes to cats and dogs, which is one reason why we're shopping for a bigger bed (our dog's crate size is called "Giant").

My cats yes, my dog no. Yes to the cats because they're fluffy and cuddly and like sleeping on me, and no to the dog because we have an 80lb Husky mix and there would be no room for my husband or I in the bed if she slept there too.

Yes, but with the caveat that the animal has to be cooperative. I don't tolerate stealing my spot in the bed and if an animal proves to be annoying to sleep with then out they go :P.

Yes. I'm too lazy to keep them off.

All the cats sleep on the bed, and while I would love the dog to as well, the boyfriend makes him sleep in his crate. Which annoys the shit out of me, but what can you do.

cats yes, dogs no. but that's kinda my default answer to everything related to those two species, lol. rats, ferrets, and rabbits are nos to, pigeons are fine though.

No. I think animals are too dirty to be on the bed.

no. the cats aren't allowed in the bedroom at all. one of them is a Balinese and is prone to very loud yelling for attention. i learned very quickly that 4am wakeups by a screaming feline on my face was not pleasant.

i also like the lack of pet hair on pillows.

Yes, because they're cuddly and warm. But they have to stay off my pillow. I'm not spending all night breathing through a fine screen of fur.

Nope, I'm end up kicking them off the bed accidently.

No.

Pet fur on my pillow makes my allergies worse, my husband just likes to have one room in our house that's (mostly) fur-free, and one of my dogs has to pee around 3-4am if he's not crated all night.
